Frequently Asked Questions
What is CHRASH?
Church Hill Residents Against Speeding Harrassment - is a group of local residents living in Church Hill and the surrounding area who are working with the local authorities to get a safer environment by slowing the traffic and making it a better area for pedestrians.

How long has CHRASH been in existance?
We have been campaigning for over two years.

Why was CHRASH formed?
There have been a number of serious accidents along this road - three people have been killed in the last two and a half years. Residents are tired of living in an area where a well used rural road is abused by motorists who do not drive within the speed limits. A number of residents have grouped together to try and bring their concerns to the local authorities, Herts Highways, local and county councillors and the police and get them to make changes.

What has CHRASH achieved?
We have organised a petition of local support and 470 people signed. This we presented to the Joint Partnership Meeting at Three Rivers District Council where we also gave a presentation outlining the problems. This has resulted in further liason with the authorities and has progressed our cause towards some solutions.

Who supports CHRASH?
We have the full support of our local and county councillors and Anne Main MP, community police, Hertfordshire Highways, local businesses, Bedmond School, its Governers and PTA, the Village Hall Committee and a large body of residents are fully behind this campaign. We have an ongoing communication with the local press who regularly publish pieces about our campaign.
