This is a large mural that was done with a team of artists in Pomona, California. The concept and design of the mural were done within the “Envisioning the Future” project. We worked with Judy Chicago, Donald Woodman, Judy Baca, Magu and Cheryl Bookout in the course of the mural’s design. My role was facilitator and lead artist during the project and lead artist during the actual production of the mural. We worked with Cal Poly Pomona and the City of Pomona as project sponsors with other help from the building owner and the community.

The team was Lief Frederick, Sandra Gallegos, Cori Griffin, Rupert Hernandez, Lynne Kumra, Yolanda Londono, Amy Runyen, Chris Toovey, Mary Kay Wilson. Also Community Volunteers Joy McAllister, Magu, Athena Hahn, Simon Hill and his friend Geoff, Erin Campbell, Silvana Paridis and local student and community members.

Chris and Joy are also muralists in the Inland Empire and I’ll try to find links to all the artist’s work in the future.
