Concerts

The Riverboat Jazz Band is terrific for concerts. We do programs about the roots of jazz including classic compositions left to us from the early jazz age. We play & talk about Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Jelly Roll Morton and many other jazz pioneers. Things don’t stop there. We also have programs and concerts for schools and education, called Classic Jazz Journey. The program is most informative and entertaining. After all, Jazz is America’s only original contribution to the arts, Our appearances are many, and include; concert halls, arts centers, libraries, theaters and music venues where we have obtained great reviews.

Mardi Gras or New Orleans Night

The traditional sound of New Orleans Jazz is perfect for your Mardi Gras or New Orleans Night, weather it be on a commercial basis or a big celebration. We wear purple, green & gold  and can even play for a Mardi Gras Mass!  We come with lots of experience and ideas to help you promote your Event, from Shrimp Creole to Kings & Queens.....  From Red Beans & Rice to Doubloons & beads.  The only way to go for This celebration..... really!

Cruises

Our history of appearances on cruises are many. The music of New Orleans that moved up the Mississippi to Chicago, is our specialty. We have appeared on American, Canadian Caribbean Cruise Lines; Norwegian American Cruise Lines and several others. You are liable to catch us on a private yacht, a  Hudson River paddle wheeler or a  Northeast inland cruise.

Weddings.

We do weddings with different sized groups too. The Swing Quartet or Quintet is great if you want our style of music for the entire party. This band is great for Cocktails, Dinner music, bit of entertainment, followed by dancing. Somewhat subtle but enjoyable for everyone. Some weddings follow up with a DJ or rock group for the younger set. Our Clarinet Marmalade Trio or Quartet is perfect for Cocktail hour, it has that happy Dixieland sound that will get your day happening. Plus, it will not interfere with guests socially.  All bands are dressed in proper attire from casual to Tuxedo. Your call. Contact us for more information & pricing.

Commercial appearances

Grand openings and business promotions are familiar territory for us. Also Cocktail parties, luncheons, dinner parties, shows, conventions & more. We can perform indoors or out. Some criteria calls for a stationary band, some acoustic & movable.

Special parties

Special musical presentations can be arranged for your Valentine or Birthday party, Swing Dance, Parade, Patriotic event,  Ice cream social or Roaring 20’s party.

Funerals

New Orleans Jazz funeral services are not new for us. Our presentation is complete with  Spirituals, the Blues and the sounds of Bourbon Street. We play in the Parlor, the Church, or in the Cemetery - or all three!
