A boutique hotel in California - The Viceroy - was our muse. Beautiful outdoor lounges furnished and lit with the same level of thought normally reserved for indoor spaces.  It’s rare to see such beautiful outdoor spaces... Then, the question that started it all... “Why is there such a lack of well-designed solutions for the outdoors?”

 

We borrowed elements from the dish & sunflower as metaphors. We wanted the design to show off and celebrate the solar technology yet let the overall product blend into the outdoor environment.
