I’d like you to meet our daughter Arden. She is four years old and has had type I diabetes for over two and a half years. We are sharing our story to illustrate exactly what a typical day in Arden’s life is like. We want to make this disease more transparent. We know that diabetic children don’t appear sick but they are, they have a chronic illness that is hurling them towards countless serious side effects, make living a normal day very difficult and is most likely shorten their lives. I hope that seeing just a moment from Arden’s day will educate and enlighten you and move you to advocacy.

When you become an advocate for children with type I diabetes you add another voice to the search for a cure. Your altruism is greatly appreciated by my family and the tens of millions of others that struggle with this disease every second of every day.

Please watch for frequent updates to the site. I encourage first time visitors to experience “Arden’s Day” beginning at my first blog entry by clicking here or use the links located at the top of each page to navigate the site.
