What’s Going On in Computer Class

Online With EWTN (The Global Catholic Network)

EWTN for Kids is a great website for young children. Kindergarten and first graders have been using it in computer class and we encourage you to play it with your child at home. You can access the site by clicking on the EWTNKids logo above. This site has many facets to it that help to enhance  a child’s knowledge of religious stories while teaching and reinforcing basic computer skills such as point & click, drag & drop, navigating through the computer screen, and basic keyboarding by incorporating the use of keys in problem solving. Take a look...

The Main Page

The Main Page has choices for several places to visit, each with its own set of activities. The children learn Bible and religious lessons while practicing the basic computer skills (using the mouse, keyboard input, and following directions).

Visit the Church

Here you’ll find several activities that stress memory, concentration, and design while incorporating computer skills and religious stories. Be sure to go ‘upstairs’ to the choir loft to play the memory listening game.

The Morgans’ House

In the Morgans’ house children find a whole host of learning activities that involve the use of observation, listening, and elementary level reading skills. Students learn while they play as they navigate through the various rooms, solve puzzles, and explore all there is to see in the children’s rooms.

Back to School

Visit the school and you’ll find many activities each geared to a different age group and level of difficulty. Children have to move their mouse and navigate the keyboard to work their way through a large assortment of skills related games in each of the individual classrooms.
