Our Tour Begins...

This is the first overseas trip that Bishop Grandin Marching Ghosts have participated in for more than 6 years. 


We are all very excited to compete against bands from all over the world at an International Marching Band Competition held in Monza, Italy. 


When the competition is over, we will spend a week touring around Italy, visiting Paduva, Venice, Florence, Siena, and Roma!  A great opportunity for the students to see, first hand, the incredible architecture, artistry, culture and depth of history in this area of the world!

2008 Italy Tour!!!

A few interesting facts about this trip and the Bishop Grandin Marching Band Program...


  1. *this program started (over 30 years ago) with less than 20 students participating

  2. *in July 2008 we had 117 student band members participate in the journey to Italy

  3. *Almost $500,000 was required to fund this trip to Italy for the 144 students, chaperones, teachers and clinicians.

  4. *Fund raising efforts over the year were able to raise a little over $75,000 used toward the trip
