In this class, we review the history of hypertext.  Vannevar Bush invents the idea.  Doug Engelbart builds the first meaningful examples.  Ted Nelson invents the term.  Bill Atkinson develops HyperCard, the first mainstream example of hypertext (an example of which is shown in the cover art).  Tim Berners-Lee then creates HTML and the Web.  We then talk about various web design principles.
