Around 3pm we all found our way to the hotel lobby for introductions, an overview of the tour, some snacks and sharing of what we hoped to accomplish while on tour. After a short break, we gathered once more to dive right in to what makes Florence so special: a world of grand art and Michelangelo’s David.
Everything I read proclaimed “No photos are permitted” in the Accademia where the David resides... sadly, I was the only one dumb enough not to bring my camera. Because of that, most of the photos below are from before we met as a group on Sunday afternoon. What I can tell you however, is that rounding the corner, into the room where the David resides, was a breathtaking experience, one I will never forget in my lifetime. Enjoy!
