It was a very rainy morning, but we were in Florence, the art capital of the world! We left our hotel and walked past the Medici Chapel and San Lorenzo, crossed the street, made our way past the Duomo and Plaza della Republica and on to Ponte Vecchio.
We walked back to Plaza Della Signoria and learned about Plaza Vecchio, the myriad of statues located in the square, and then up to Orsanmichelle Church, which, sadly, was closed that day. We returned to the Duomo and took in the awe and beauty of what we saw.
