we left as friends with memories
to last a lifetime.

Firenze (Florence) is the capital city of the region of Tuscany, Italy. From 1865 to 1870 Florence was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. Florence lies on the Arno River and has a population of around 400,000 people, plus a suburban population in excess of 200,000 persons.
I really didn’t know what to expect taking a formal tour, the last one I was on was in high school, and it was one of those see 10 countries in 4 days versions. But I had heard good things about Rick Steves from PBS, and friends and colleagues, and I can say I was wonderfully surprised and happy with my decision. Click here for a “Bird’s Eye View.” Ciao!
