I am painter of abstract landscapes. My work is plein-airist. It is very much about the refection of light and movement of the air. At times I finish the work on sight. In the studio I use remnants of my imagination from my experience out of door. Often they reflect an inner self, my feelings and of my awareness of things around me.

I paint with oil on linen. Sometimes I build the surface and then scrape it back like in crayon etching. Other times I want to keep it as if it were an underpainting.

The process is very immediate and the paintings are usually finished in a short time, because, mood seems to be much of what they are about. The creation is very unconscious. I go away for a while and come back only to find that it is finished
