A great day for snowshoeing; cool, a few clouds, slight breeze, and SNOW!  John, Larry, Mic, Heather, and Scott snowshoed to the summit of Mount Watatic, 1832 feet.  Congrats to Larry, Mic, and Heather on their first ascent.  Larry deserves an extra cheer for this is his tallest mountain climbed.  Watch out Larry, you hang around us and you’ll be climbing a lot of mountains.  Check out Watatic last year in February and May 2007.

FYI:  If you are in the Worcester area and need to rent snow shoes I highly recommend New England Backpacker.  They have an excellent staff and reasonable rental fees.
