Mount Monadnock

2008

Last year Eric, John, and I attempted to climb Monadnock in the winter.  We were nearly successful.  We had to turn back due to the slick ice covering the rocks.  This year Eric and I were properly equipped to conquer the mountain.  It was a fantastic day, 20-30F, light clouds, with snow flurries on our descent.  The summit was socked in fog and blowing snow.  The views were great and the scenery was beautiful; compare the ice covered bent trees with those that you see in the summer and it is a distinct contrast.
