suggested, and it got me to thinking about just how much great writing about various places is out there. I thought it would be fun if we could start to put together a sort of catalog of books about particular locations.
In my next entry, I will post a list of good books about Singapore, whether set in the present or past. The next day, I’ll post a similar list about Shanghai. I thought it would be fun if other bloggers would post similar lists about good books set in places with which you are familiar. If you will leave the URL in the comments below, I will compile a list of blogs that recommend books that give an authentic feeling of a particular location.
