ONE OF THE REASONS for our big European trip was to go to Nicola and Mich’s Civil Partnership Ceremony. For the uninitiated, a Civil Partnership Ceremony (or ‘CP’ for short) is the act of entering into a domestic partnership arrangement if you’re in a same-sex couple.* (The uk.gov Women and Equality site explains it better than I might.)
For all intents and purposes, it can be whatever you make it. Nicola and Mich worked hard to make it a fantastic day of family, friends and celebration. We were thrilled to be there for them.
*Sadly, not yet available in all countries, states or territories.
