It’s never easy saying goodbye - and after working hand in hand for one week with the wonderful staff of Rosa de Amor, the hard-working construction crew and the beautiful children from the school - this goodbye was harder than most.

Our work at Rosa de Amor really seems to be bringing everyone together. Our third day on site presented some interesting challenges, which were met with great enthusiasm by all.  Opening our clinic to the people of the surrounding village brought in many who only spoke the local language, which is nothing like Spanish.  That meant an extra step in translation for our

Day 2
 
Our first full day began with a long bus trip from Antigua to Coban. After unpacking at our hotel, we headed out to Rosa de Amor. We were greeted there by  more than a hundred beautiful children, who presented a fantastic program of song, prayer and dance. It was an uplifting start to what is sure
