Hello everyone! This is my Alaska Cruise. I had a lot of fun, learned a lot from a seminar on relationships by Dr. Pat Allen, and became friends with a sweet man, Jim Hallowes, who studies and actually understands Highly Sensitive People like me! It was an amazing trip, and I’m still processing all of the good things that happened. Here is a little bit of it all . . .
Alaska!
ms Westerdam
a five star hotel at sea
What their elevators looked like on one deck.
Queens Lounge- this was our seminar spot.

My room with a view.
Impeccable room service.
Lots of pools on board.
I loved these dolphins.
Okay, so let’s go!
Seattle as seen from deck as we left port.
I sure had my memories of geology renewed.
Lord, the mountains and clouds were beautiful.
We couldn’t believe our eyes . . .
It didn’t look very big, at first. Just wide - 6 miles.
The Hubbard Glacier.
It was getting bigger . . .
Holy cow, it’s huge! About 61 ft. high!
And blue! And long! 76 miles long!
And AWESOME!
Me, eating it all up.
Juneau from the deck
The closer we got, the prettier it was.
Docked at Juneau
Franklin St. - the main drag.
Not a bad backyard view, I’d say.
- Jacques Norvell -
bush pilot, brother-in-law
- Dr. Pat Allen -
seminar leader & friend
- JIm Hallowes -

Taking Off. Photo by Jim Hallowes. Pat came too.
A hanging valley, scullpted by a glacier.
On top of the ice cap -
birthplace of glaciers
Wow.
The ice is 3,000 ft deep.
Where my in-laws grew up. Blue roofed house.
Me at Mendenhall. But I’m glaciered out.
A bigger view of Mendenhall Glacier
This photo & next one were taken at same time.
11 pm - Sunset on the bow, moon on the stern.
Welcome to Sitka, Alaska!
Walking downtown in Sitka.
A Russian Church. Sitka was Russian first.
Matrushka Dolls, or nesting dolls.
The beautiful red glow of Russian dishes.
Totem Poles
I love to look at the detail of these poles.
Totem poles tell wonderful stories.
What a work of art! Wonderful.
No lack of eagles up here.
They are everywhere.
Two eagle’s nests. They get huge and heavy.
On to Ketchikan
Stairs here are streets, and are named.
Redlight distr. Men snuck up under the houses!
Goodbye, Alaska! I loved visiting you!
Victoria, British Colombia
They have bears!
Wonderful bears!
The kids love them.
This was so much fun.
I could have wandered forever to find bears.
Awww, that’s sweet.
A Love Bear
I almost hugged it, but was too shy.
The only  red-coated Mountie I saw.
THE Empress Hotel
I hope you liked it!
