Barca's wonderfully inventive cocktail list is well worth a look at too! The Real de Rosa is absolutely heavenly and one of our favourites!

The Buff Club just gets better and better and has now introduced a sizzling Latino night to its line up! Hosted by Academia de Salsa who pull in a decidedly salsa dancing crowd, this sexy club night also boasts a dedicated Mojito bar on the mezzanine level to set the mood! Caramba! Resident Nick Peacock takes over as of 1am with a funky, jazzy line til 3am on the top floor while the lower floor spins 80s classics and the pub below live jazz and swing.

Sunday 3rd Aug. & the 1st Sunday of every month at Tiger Tiger, Glassford St. Tropical Sundays! Don't miss Academia de Salsa's fabulous monthly Sunday Social on the first Sunday of the month as Tiger goes Tropicana for an afternoon!

You have to see it to believe it! At 4.30pm- 7.30pm on the first Sunday of every month Tiger Tiger's main bar area spontaneously erupts into a fully blown Cuban Fiesta, drawing in salsa music lovers, amazing dancers, and curious sunday shoppers from far and wide!

Tropical and lively atmosphere! Fun, friendly and free! What a way to spend a Sunday afternoon at the pub! Children are welcome during lunch hours.

NEW LATINO CLUB: CANDELA! LAUNCH NIGHT*

We are launching a Latino night called CANDELA! in the Buff Club on the 20th of June. Candela! will initially run once a month on the second Friday.
Candela! will be dedicated to playing all types of music from the Latin world such as Shakira, Juanes, Manu Chao, Daddy Yankee, Mana, Seu Jorge, forro, pagode Samba beats with just a hint of old school salsa. (no complaining..you have Saturday nights dedicated to Salsa!)
This is a night being thrown for the Latino community in Glasgow and everyone who’s latino musical tastes extend beyond salsa so although you may not get to salsa all night you will certainly learn a few moves from the Latinos as they undulate and shake it all out! We hope that you can make it along to see for yourself!
John used to do a night like this in Cuba Norte as did Shannon with Virunga YEARS ago! It's about time we get a proper Latino night back on again..que comienza la fiesta!!!

Rumba Caliente are one of the UK's most exciting salsa groups.

Led by Salsa Celtica's Toby Shippey and Lino Rocha they have forged a unique and original Afro-Latin/Salsa-Soul sound. Rumba Caliente effortlessly move from salsa to soul, Latin-jazz to funk and back to salsa again making a fiercely dynamic sound that can move a dance floor as well as allow for hard-hitting jazz soloing. Featuring some of the UK’s most established salsa musicians and some of Scotland’s most exciting jazz players the group have built a fantastic reputation for thrilling live shows, playing the throughout the UK and Europe.
While their mother band Salsa Celtica have been responsibly busy cutting salsa hits worldwide, Rumba Caliente have been having a great time partying with their audiences and experimenting with salsa rap and other exciting but very much salsa orientated rhythms that you would expect from a Salsa Celtica sibling! This gig could very well sell out early on as they have a huge following in Glasgow!

SALSA IN THE BUFF....club! It's really a fantastic venue with 3 floors of music ranging from live jazz in the pub to Buff club beats and finally, on the top floor...Salsa by the Latin Kollective and Academia de Salsa!

With such a wide range of musical tastes catered for you no longer have to make excuses to your non-salsa friends when it comes to going out on the weekend..you can take them along and they will have a great time!

MOJITOS! By special request..the Buff Club will be running the mojito bar that was so popular at my birthday party there last month..they really are terribly delicious AND are prepared properly! Only £4.50 too.
The Mojito bar is located at the balcony bar which also offers more dance space, a chill out zone of boothed seating and a vantage point view of the dancefloor below.


CLASSIC GRAND will be reserved for bigger salsa events and gigs in future.
The proprietors also own the Buff Club which they feel is more suited to the salsa crowd and we feel that it will address some of the points raised by yourselves concerning the location of Classic Grand and the later start time.
