We had a great time in Paris, most importantly the children certainly enjoyed it. The weather was wonderful and the kids were excited to see sites that they frequently see on TV or movies such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe or the Louvre. Our only regret was that we didn’t have enough time to take the kids to Paris Disneyland or Parc Asterix. Maybe next time.   :-)

The reason for missing out on the theme parks is that the Paris Summer Sale started on our second day there. In France, sales are government regulated and all shops start their sale on the same day. Since we went to Disneyland in Tokyo last year, we decided to miss out this time and try to brave the sales instead.

The shops were absolutely packed and we had to plan our trip somewhat and balance the shops and sightseeing so as not to bore the children too much.
