On May 4, I headed to Chicago to present at the CHIFCPUG meeting. Thanks to Jeff Evenson and the rest of the gang for all their support.
My presentation featured a talk about how to create your own videographics by deconstructing other artists effects. How to get ideas from everyday objects like magazines, websites, billboards and, yes, even TV. I also showed a few tips and tricks from my book.
Over the weekend I gave a workshop at Midwest Media Group, which is located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It was a great training environment with both a projector and a plasma display.
I featured a two day workshop about advanced workflow and effects creation in Final Cut Pro. Then on the third day, I taught a basic course in Apple Motion. Some attendees took the two day class, a number of them took all three days. That’s quite a load of training!
Thanks to Midwest Media Group for sponsoring my workshop. A special shout-out to Michael Kammes for his support throughout the workshop. And thanks to all of my students who did a great job in the class. One of the smartest group of folks I’ve come across in a long time.
