In this exercise, you’ll learn a whole lot of cool stuff about nesting.
Unfortunately, nesting as a concept has changed from the way it performed in versions FCP 1.0 through FCP 4.1. I feel it is broken.
In version FCP 4.5 through FCP 5.1, nests now act differently. If a nested sequence is duplicated, and you make a change in the duplicate, it updates in the master sequence. The behavior is the same way as if it was copy/pasted.
Formerly, if you duplicated a nested sequence, it would not update and was totally independent from the master sequence.
I prefer the behavior of the former for advanced title builds, etc.
