This is my adventure and travel photography web site. The web site reduces my very large JPEGs to a web-friendly and small 800x600 that have much lower resolution, definition, and saturation than the originals. These make poor screen savers. Anyone who would like a copy of the original file -- a much large and superior JPEG -- can request one by email.
Virtually all of these photos were taken with several different Nikon D model cameras and lenses. Additions since September 2008 were taken with a full frame D700. A few shots were taken with a pocket Canon SD 700is. I sometimes use a Singh warming polarizer or a standard polarizer; some outdoor shots were taken with a graduated neutral density filter or a gold and blue polarizer. I make only basic adjustments on the computer; no photoshopping.
Latest update: 23 May 2009 when I added to the Image of SE Asia page a few shots taken at the Schwedegon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar; and to the Thailand page some shots from the 2009 Songkran celebration in Bangkok. The Gokyo Valley page was added in November 2008.
