My Blog

I know it seems, well, I guess it is about every month that I post a single update, but if I felt like I had some time OR something interesting for you all to hear about, I think I would post more often.  I have had a full month of what has felt like total craziness, but it’s all for good cause.  Some of this last months events:  I finished my Running Coach certification, I turned 28, Seth and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary, started a business (on paper) and tons and tons of planning for our business as well as Girls Camp certification.  I’ve also been keeping up with my training schedule for the big race I’ll be running in on May 17th in Corpus Christi.
I guess I’m now wondering what happened with my kids...maybe they’ve been slightly “neglected”, but from what I can remember: Ian participated in his pre-school Trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Unfortunately, Ian doesn’t own a trike, so he rode his scooter, which he was happy to do, but Seth was mortified that our son was “that kid” doing his own thing.  I’m here to defend Ian and say that he didn’t care, and quite frankly, I thought many of those kids were actually jealous that they didn’t bring their scooter instead of their “crappy” trikes! ( :  Needless to say, we are in the market for a “slightly used” trike or bike with training wheels.
Katie and Ian maybe didn’t accomplish any real new milestones this month (that I am aware of at least), but I am going to give them some serious props for being such good kids and tagging along with me on all our “wild goose chases” and being so cooperative.  I feel so incredibly blessed (here’s where I get a little emotional) to have such a supportive family.  I absolutely LOVE being a stay-at-home mom, and would never want to loose that, but to have this opportunity to start something that I would consider to be close to my DREAM job without it conflicting too much with me being able to be home with my children is awesome.  I’m so thankful that Seth and the kids have allowed me to go for this, because I would not have had it in me if I didn’t know that they were behind me all the way.  I love my family more than anything and I look forward to all this craziness dying down in the next month.
In addition to all this other stuff, Seth will be finishing up this semester this next week.  He has done so well in school, but I know he looks forward to moving on.  So here starts our final “push to the finish”.  He has exactly one more year until graduation, and we are just trying to stay focused.
I hope this entry appeases some of you who have voiced your disdain for the serious LACK of entries, but I’m not making any promises of more frequent updates until things settle down around here.  However, I DO love reading your blogs, so keep up the good work!!!  ( ;
I guess I should have included that Ian has become surprisingly photogenic in the last month (Yay!!)

Here’s my Monthly Update....
