I can’t believe that my baby boy turned 4!
Ian’s birthday was a really great one thanks to our friends and family and ALL the celebrations we had.  We did a small family diner for him on Sunday with my brother and his wife.  Ian chose cinnamon rolls for dessert, since we would be having cake on his actual birthday.  Monday morning, his actual birthday, I rushed around the house getting it ready for the little play-group birthday party I had decided to throw last minute, since I had decided a while ago that it was not necessary to throw our kids a birthday party every year.  Seth didn’t feel like that was a good enough reason, so he gave me enough “guilt trips” to make me change my mind (and I’m glad he did...Love you honey!!) We had a lot of little kids running around, destroying the house I had just cleaned---(what’s the point?!).  They had fun painting and playing in the new Thomas tent he got from my brother and sister-in-law.  Ian was so thrilled to have all his friends over to sing “Happy Birthday” and eat cake with him, I don’t think he would have cared if the festivities had ended there, but then came all the presents.  I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone for all that they did to help make his day special.  Seth had night class to attend that day, so we held out as long as we could to have the official birthday cake after dinner, but by 7:30 we had to go ahead and cut into it.  Seth wasn’t able to make it home before the kids had to go to bed, but we understand he would have much rather been with us, and he was working as hard as he could to get home as quickly as possible.  Needless to say, we did have a great day, and Ian enjoyed his 4th birthday.
Here are some pictures of the days:

I will be posting the rest of his birthday pictures in the newest Library at the top of the page.
