Later her career evolved further when she became Assistant Facilitator with the Calgary Association of Self Help, and went on to earn her Certification as A Life Skill Coach. As a Life Skills Coach, Gwen ran ‘Problem Solving Groups' at the Grierson Correctional Facility as well as with the John Howard Society. She also worked at the Calgary Young Offender Centre specializing in treatment for Special Needs Youth and the new initiative of a Forestry Work Camp. Gwen went on to study Crisis Intervention, Criminology, Minorities and Youth Work from Simon Fraser University.
In addition, Gwen's experience has included a foray into in film & TV. This includes coaching people in the industry, being part of the production team for Shaw's Studio 4 with Fanny Kiefer and being the Head Coach for the Women in Film & Video Vancouver, Flash Forward Program. Recently, she was brought in to Coach on the Reality TV Show, Chop Shop for Slice Network. Gwen aspires to contribute to “change your life television” to contribute Coaching on a grander scale.
Gwen has created her own extraordinary personal relationship with the man who ‘is even better than the man of her dreams’. She initiated the relationship in 1993 and they have been each other's ‘preferred company’ ever since. Gwen enjoys her family, friends and clients. Getting Coached and Coaching others (engaged in conversations that transform people) is her absolute favorite activity. She also loves to photograph people, spend time at the beach, swimming in the ocean, going on road trips and traveling.

In June of 1995, Gwen ventured out on her own as a Personal, Professional and Relationship Coach providing individual coaching services and designing group seminars. Gwen's background was in Social Work with over 15 years of experience serving community groups, people in crisis, youth at risk and their families. She has an Honors Diploma in Social Services from Mount Royal College (Calgary) and is a Certified Life Skills Coach through Grant McEwen Community College (Edmonton).
Her career has taken her from working at a Distress and Drug Treatment Centre to the Calgary Sexual Assault Centre and to her role as Relief Supervisor at the Calgary Children's Service Centre. Her roles also included working at a Shelter for Abused Children, a Juvenile Detention Facility and a Halfway House for Alcoholic Women.
