As part of my PhD program, the first year PhD students are required to organize a conference. We decided on the theme “Culture and Technology,” and were able to secure Trevor Pinch as our keynote speaker with the help of Paul Théberge, a Canada Research Chair in our department.
We are really excited to have Dr. Pinch as our keynote speaker for the conference. He is one of the main proponents of the Social Construction of Technology (SCOT) model, and most recently has written a great book on the Moog synthesizer (pictured above).
