the 411 on 652
Our mission is to usher high school students
into a life in Jesus
and a purpose in the world.

Goals we would like to see accomplished….
1) A ton of fun and hilarious memories
2) A personal identity in Jesus that’s rooted in God’s love
3) A foundational knowledge of the Bible and Christian theology
4) The desire to be a witness of Jesus’ life and love

652 is the name for two things. First, it’s the name of the High School Ministry of Creekside Community Church in Alamo, California.

Click HERE to visit Creekside Community Church main website.

Where does the name 652 come from? We begin our Wednesdays gatherings at 6:52pm – so we call it 652! It’s that simple. (Sorry to disappoint you poets!)
What is 652? Secondly, 652 is also the name of our large group gathering that occurs on the first and third Wednesday of every month (during the school year). 652 is a night of good music with our student led band, random and hilarious activities, homemade videos, and a message that will inspire and encourage you.
What is 652 Home Invasion? On the second Wednesday we have our large group gathering in a student’s home - we call this Home Invasion. Check the website for the current location. (see chart on left)

What is “Our Night Out”?
Our Night Out happens on the fourth Wednesday of the month. On this night we do not meet as a large group and instead meet in small groups at various places around the community. Our Night Out exists to provide students a regular small group experience. An example of how an Our Night Out might work is this: Sean will have a group over to his house for a BBQ. Sara will meet with some girls at Primo’s for pizza. Kyle will rally a group to meet at El Balazo, and so on… Every student involved in 652 will receive an invitation to join a small group on Our Night Out.
What is 652 Family Time?
652 Family Time happens occasionally at 652.
After an activity to warm the group up, our worship band leads us in music. Then Family Time begins.
By either standing up in front of the room or from speaking from their seat, Family Time is an open forum for students to share their lives with each other. Students often share personal stories of how they are relating to and growing in God. They can also share their hurts and struggles and ask for prayer. I hope that you can imagine a group of teenagers openly sharing like this—It is truly amazing!
The focus of Family Time is three-fold. 1) Jesus 2) Individual students sharing their lives with each other 3) Students supporting each other by listening, prayer, vulnerability, acceptance, faith, and friendship.

What is 652 Student Leadership?
For students who want to take a leadership role in the 652, we offer something called 652 Student Leadership. Student Leaders must complete an application before being considered for this exclusive team. Student Leaders work directly with Sean and the Adult Leaders to…
⎫	Receive extra equipping and encouragement for their individual ministry
⎫	Evaluate the youth ministry’s previous programs and events
⎫	Offer ideas and help to create and lead future events
⎫	Set aside extra time to pray for the youth ministry and their friends

What does a typical Student Leader Meeting Look like?
1. We begin with…Food! We often go to Taco Bell, Primos, etc…
2. In a fun format, we then openly share how our personal and spiritual lives are doing
3. We often do a Bible Study or study a leadership or ministry article together
4. We discuss and evaluate past events
5. We discuss and plan upcoming events
6. We discuss problem areas, we dream, we create
6. We pray for each other, our body, our families, our friends, and our upcoming events

What do you provide on Sunday mornings?
Do you provide small groups?
Discipleship Groups are small gatherings of 5-15 students that meet Sunday mornings from 9:00-10:00 in the Hut. Most of our five current Discipleship groups are led by at least two Creekside adult Leaders - so that every student who wants one can have someone who is like a “big brother” or “big sister” in their life.
Sean and the Youth Leaders choose D-Group studies that are fast-paced, conversational, and include detailed teachings over the texts cultural and historical background. Please join me as we pray that our students will greatly deepen their knowledge and their love for God’s Word though these studies.
During our Summer Season (July-August) of Discipleship Groups, each group will have the freedom to decide on a book that most interests them and their desired area of growth and learning.

Here are a few of the books that our students have studied in the past and/or may study in the future. Please see the “Current Series” tab for the study we are in right now.
