This is the ultimate cheaters recipe. Somehow, naming it the Ultimate Chocolate Peanut Butter Dipped Sweets in a Snap seemed like too much. Sweets in a Snap could mean anything. Pork brains rolled in chocolate anyone? So after much deliberation, a session in the House of Representatives and a letter to the President for his opinion, I settled on my current title.

The ingredients. Are you ready?

A pack of peanut butter crackers (I used Austin brand, minus the salmonella).

I package semi-sweet chips, though condescending to use milk chocolate will do

1 T. shortening

Melt the chocolate chips. Stir in the shortening. If the mix is not smooth enough, you might want to add a bit more shortening. Now. The. Hard. Part.

Dip each cracker into the chocolate until coated. Lay out on a piece of waxed paper (the dipped crackers, not you). Let set.

Just for kicks and a little extra punch, sprinkle the tops with a light coating of sea salt. Or even cocoa.
