Have been thinking about this awhile perhaps as we’ve been trying to cope with Aloke’s behaviors we haven’t been paying enough attention to the core issues. At it’s base we believe that there is an issue with Herschel’s gyrus. Where Aloke is capable of hearing perfectly, but not able to understand eg.
“I can hear you talking, but I don’t know what you are saying.”

So that leads to another set of questions, is there an imaging technique to see if there is a disconnection between Herschel’s gyrus (A1) & Wernicke’s area?

Dice-k, couldn’t get it done, but neither could Escobar. So with both starting pitchers out by the 5th, the bullpens put up zeros (and no hits) until the bottom of the nineth. Lugo gets a hit, Pedroia grounds out, Youk strikes out, Ortiz is intentionally walked, then Manny hits one out of the park

Great inexpensive lobsters (10.99/lb)
Drawn butter from a coffee pot
Seats are old lobster traps.

Lobsters are boiled in sea water, by the end of the day, the water is sooo seasoned that the flavor is even more incredible.

Prices are bit higher than the 1st time we went in 2005, (8.99/lb)

Met a lobsterman, who had just brought in a catch. This was an additional treat for me and my 4 year old son

Fish cakes and chowder are also pretty good. We usually get 2-4.

Follow up on Doctor's visit update

A suggestion was made to change Aloke over to pulse steroids to see if this might be a way to keep the dose up longer without the side effects being as severe. Pulse steroids are once a week steroids where the whole week's dose is given in one dose. This approach was pioneered by Michael Chez.
The same drawback remains eg vulnerable to infections and should he seem oddly sick in any way his symptoms must be taken very seriously. Medical attention quickly is important in this situation. Need view on blood pressure 24/36hrs after dose.

Visited with Dr. Martien, yesterday.
Worried that some of Aloke’s gains may be dropping due to the steroid wean.
Theory based on some evidence is he’s having trouble filtering out the noise in his environment, eg. when things are quiet he can do his discrete trials and work, when in a noisy environment, he no longer can. 4 weeks ago he was able to.
There is a new drug which might help.

The new antipsychotic/antiepileptic drug is imidazenil. It has anticonvulsant properties 10 times more potent than bretazenil (the other allosteric modulator of GABA A receptors) and 100 times more potent than diazepam or alprazolam in antagonizing bicuculline- and pentylenetetrazol-induced seizures.
Given GABAergic abnormalities, electrophysiologic (epileptiform) and sensory gating abnormalities in autistics and currently in Aloke, a trial on this new drug when it becomes available appears to be very worthwhile.

Great pitching was in control the whole game, only a couple of swings looked like they might be hits. Pedroia and Coco great ‘D’ behind Clay.
