Today marks 1 year that Dad and I have been together. Can you believe that it’s been a year already? Dad says that it often feels like a lifetime (I think that’s a compliment, although the first three months of having to take me out to get busy every 20 minutes...or clean up after me when I couldn’t wait 20 minutes...and constantly pulling everything out of my mouth...not to mention the vet visits when I swallowed part of a blanket...oh yeah, and the time I gave him pink eye...in both eyes...seem to have left a mark on him. But overall, I think he wouldn’t change a thing).
Over the last year we’ve been through a lot...a lot of toys...a lot of dog beds...a lot of dog food...a LOT of puppy bags...and a lot of learning. We’ve completed two obedience courses and are in our third (Dad’s finally getting the hang of it), we’ve flown to Michigan to visit Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas and have flown to San Francisco to see Steve and Ganzo. I’ve picked up a few bad habits that I like to torture Dad with and am still in the process of picking up a few more (hehe...it’s always good to keep Dad on his toes).
I’m not sure what the next year will hold. It could mean saying good-bye to Dad to become someone’s eyes, or it could mean staying with Dad and being a dad dog to future generations of GDA puppies.
Regardless, I’ll keep you posted. Thank you for your continued interest in my progress and for visiting my blog!
