Tova and My Trip to GDA

As I mentioned before, Dad and I are back in class on Wednesday nights...I’m hoping Dad will learn more this time around.  One of the dogs in our class is Tova.  She’s 3 years old and also is from Guide Dogs of America.  I believe her Dad said that she likes to bark (we refer to it as talking) and that’s why she didn’t continue on to be someone’s companion.

Speaking of GDA, a few weeks ago Dad took me to Sylmar to have my pictures taken.  I’ve posed for a bunch of photos over the last year...sometimes Dad gets a bit camera happy...and then there’s Uncle Chris who takes really nice pictures of me...but these were different pictures.  Instead of me having to smile, I had to lay still while they took x-rays of my hips.  Dad said that this is all part of the evaluation for me to be a future dad dog.  I guess they’re looking to make sure that I don’t have any genetic joint issues that I would pass along to my puppies.  Although we don’t have the results of the pictures back yet, I do go in this weekend for my heart ultra sound and back to GDA on April 7th for my eye exam.  I’ll keep you posted as I learn more.
