Half Bottle Party 2009 Editon June 3rd
At the Napa Taylors and the St Helena Taylors !
Dear Friends
I hope all is well This is a busy time in Napa Valley. Let us celebrate. Wed June 3rd
You are invited to the annual half bottle party at Taylor's Refresher at noon and the party is open to all who care to enjoy wine. The party serves as a counter-point to the exclusive Magnum Party held later that same day.
As you all know life is better in Napa Valley now that we have two Taylor's one in St Helena and one at the new Oxbow in Napa
So there are TWO half bottle parties. Ken will be at the Oxbow location and I will be at the St Helena location.
If you have not been to the party previously, here are some q and a that covers many of the thoughts that people have had when the idea of the party is raised. I look forward to seeing you.

Over the years people have asked me questions about the half bottle party.
You might have the same questions. Here are my answers.
Q. Why are you having a half bottle party?
A. Because the idea of it makes people laugh. I have always enjoyed laughter. I have enjoyed hamburgers, wine and people as well. Shall we picnic?
Q. My winery doesn't make 375mls. What should I do?
A. It is a half bottle party. Open a 750ml. Drink half of it and bring a half bottle of wine.
Q. Should I stay at the half bottle party until the Magnum party begins?
A. Perhaps, perhaps not. Again no rules. Proper etiquette would call for a 750ml party as an intermezzo. However that may not apply to everyone's situation. I know some of you have to go to work, as I do.
