Scott Matthew Pittman
The Shods drummer, Scott Pittman, originally paired up with Vater during a 1997 tour with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, turned on by Vater’s 3A Fatbacks. Now, touring the world on a 1920’s ‘traps’ kit with Delmark Recording Artist, Frank Morey, Scott holds the Vater endurance record for one pair of sticks; using a single pair of Vater ‘New Orleans JAZZ’ for 373 shows over the two years of 2006-2007. Shown here are his winning Vater sticks old and new. Says Scott,
“Chad Brandolini at Vater died laughing when I told him, but I was so confident with my Vater sticks, that during the whole two years, I didn’t even have a backup. I like a very light stick bag!”
