Prayer support is what activates the thin nerve and moves the hand of God Almighty! I am so thankful for each one of you who God uses to pray for CCM and I. Looking back on the last 10 years, there is no doubt that there are the fingerprints of prayer behind each of God’s accomplishments in CCM.
But, there is still more to do! The harvest field is ripe, and more workers are needed. Thank you for praying for workers to evangelize and disciple in the University of Costa Rica! God has responded with new students who desire to grow in the knowledge of Jesus as they share with others. Praise the Lord!
Thank you for praying for Maranatha Christian Church who visited Costa Rica from August 10-20, 2007. I was sent as a missionary from this church after being a part of these evangelistic missions trips. CCM was blessed to receive encouragement through the Spirit of God that contagiously impacted each of our lives on and off the campus. I encourage you to listen to the podcasts available at their website.
Thank you for praying for the Career Fair (pictured above, left), August 30-31, allows us direct access to the UCR students at the moment and the future generation. Carlos, in the the light blue shirt, received a pamphlet in 2006 and now is part of the ministry on campus, in the campus house and the dorms. We are doing a Bible study in the same spot we had the campus table every Monday at 11 a.m. Laura, in blue, and Jose Pablo, in yellow, along with Carlos and another Math student David are attending this. Thank you for praying and believing for more fruit as we take steps of faith!
Thank you for praying for the Dorm Bible Study on Monday at 8:30 p.m. The students have faithfully met for 4 years and we continue to see fruit. Please continue to pray for strength and wisdom to be light in the darkness.
Please pray for the Irazu House Church that they will grow in faith in the Lord Jesus. Also that we can plan at least one trip to Irazu even though James Berry is Stateside. Praise the Lord for the students who ask about and appreciate the community felt as we share the love of Jesus together!
Frank and Ana, pictured above at right, came to Costa Rica from El Salvador on January 1, 2007. Frank is from South Africa, and Ana is from El Salvador. 10 days married, God moved them here for 9 months, but now they will return because Ana’s Dad is critically ill. Please pray that God will use them to share Jesus with Ana’s family and the people of El Salvador. They have brought great encouragement to CCM and I ask you to please pray with me that Costa Rica and El Salvador will be part of God’s Omnipotent plan to prepare them for their future time in South Africa.
Please pray for the married couples and the families. The Bible says: What God has brought together let no man tear asunder. Thank you for praying knowing that with God ALL things are possible!
Please pray for Dave and Mary Jo Nutting of discovercreation.org which is lifting up the name of Jesus through revealing the truth of God’s creation. Please pray that we can quickly translate their DVD series into Spanish to make it available in Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, etc. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the March visit to Costa Rica.
Please pray for Rusty Russell that he may continue to be used a prophet bringing the hope of Jesus and His healing to people in many nations.
Thank you for praying for Jose Salas who I met in the UCR 8 years ago. God healed Jose of cancer, and he is in Virginia, U.S. teaching Spanish for 3 years. Please pray for doors to continue to open for him and that God will lead him into ministry while he is State side.
Please pray for Fishnet Ministries that God will give them many souls, many people to be encouraged, good weather, adequate volunteer staff and funds to meet the budget for Fishnet 2007.
Please pray for the Abraham Project which is an orphanage as well as community outreach to the poor of Costa Rica that God will provide them with volunteers, construction teams and funding to continue training children in the ways of the Lord.
Please pray for my family. God has blessed my niece, Autumn, with a little girl, Faith Marie on May 26, 2006. Thank you for continuing to pray that ALL things will work together for good in each of their lives.
