The Scottish Thoracic Society has a membership in excess of 250 from throughout Scotland and beyond. The society meets on two occasions each year at which time a wide range of respiratory topics are presented and discussed as well as a range of invited talks and mini-symposia of interest to respiratory specialists. The society encourages audit and offers a national platform for the discussion of important respiratory issues. It also prides itself on being friendly and relevant to the needs of respiratory trainees.
