My Background

My Education
I completed a double B.A. in French and Art (painting and ceramics emphases) at the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. While a student at UW-W, I spent a semester studying abroad at the Université de Haute Bretagne, Rennes II, located in Brittany, France. I then completed a M.A. in French at the University of Minnesota. During my studies at the U of MN, I had the opportunity to serve as Assistant to the U of MN's study abroad program in Montpellier, France for three months. After the Master's degree, I transferred to the University of Wisconsin at Madison where I completed my Ph.D. At Wisconsin, I also served as Editorial Assistant for the Modern Language Journal.
My Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy tennis, racquetball, rollerblading, reading, traveling, photography, web-page design, gardening, home improvement, weight-training, film, and old-time radio drama.
