So, I used a service recently that called Henry’s orphanage for us.   We were able to choose 10 questions for the woman in Beijing to ask the nannies at the orphanage. 

Some things we already know about Henry:

-- He was born with spina bifida

-- He had surgery to correct spina bifida at 10 days old

With that in mind, here is what we found out:

-- He is 16 months younger than Darby and is only 2 lbs lighter!!

-- He is LOVED by his nannies, what a blessing!!

 

Here is a small excerpt from the email I received today:

Who chose his name and why?

Because he has spina bifida, we wish he could stand up after the surgery. Li means “stand.”

Is he attempting to crawl?

He can crawl, he can stand up. He can walk by holding onto crib or walker.
