Both Series PDF guide
One guide covers all Doctors and all stories. One line per story, landscape format, 4 ea 8.5x11 sheets.
Se: . . . . . . . . The broadcast season. It is interesting to look at the start dates of the seasons. They have moved around quite a bit, often leaving about a year between the seasons.
St:. . . . . . . . The episode number.
. . 1964, for The Original Series, the numbers are continuous over the years.
. . 2005, for The New Series, the numbers are within a season only.
Date: . . . . . . The original broadcast date. An "*" means the date is a guess.
. . 1964 The Original Series. The date of the first episode of a story.
. . 2005 The New Series. The date of the episode.
Ln: . . . . . . . . The length of the story.
. . 1964 TOS. The number of "30 min" episodes no matter how it was broadcast. Figure about 23 min/episode when shown as a movie. A "-" indicates that some of the show is missing.
. . 2005 TNS. The number of "60 min" episodes in a story. Multi-part episodes have the contiunuing parts listed as 0.
Writer: . . . . . The writer credited in the broadcast version, when I remembered to look. The rest are from various references. But different references list different writers. This has not been completely proofed against the broadcast credits.
Gd: . . . . . . . The entertainment rating as a letter grade. NC means No Credit. This is not a literary grade. It is based solely on how well I liked the story. I like humor, Doctor / companion interaction, and a quick pace more than I like monsters, bombs, and chases. All the ratings, except Hartnell & a few low rated episodes, are based on 2 or more viewings. Doctor Who is more complex than it appears and often the rating improves on the second viewing. A grade of "MA" or "MP" means that all or part of the show has been destroyed and is not broadcast.
Title: . . . . . .
. . 1964. The movie version title. Some
alternate titles are listed in parenthesis here and with the story line. The
very first story has been separated into two parts because of my grades.
. . 2005. Titles by episode with fractions for multipart stories.
Doctor: . . . . The actor playing the Doctor.
Companions: . The companions. My favorite people.
Fic-Date: . . . Year the story takes place. Negative numbers for BC, positive for AD. Yes, I have sorted the file by story date out of curiosity.
. . 1964. These format definitions apply to the older HTML guides. A "-" indicates BC instead of AD. K=thousand, M=million, B=billion. An "s" means "in that era". An "*" means no year could be determined and the earth
broadcast date was used.
Location: . . Where the fictional story takes place.
Story line: . . A short description of the story originally designed as a trigger to help me remember the plot. This has been expanded so you might be able to understand it. If not, try reading the Title, Fic-date and Location.
