From the Makeup Symposium, Achievement in Makeup” Winner Montse Ribe talks about her work on Pan’s Labyrinth...The fantasy characters are so believable, we continue to hope they are only fantasy. Two characters so fully developed that we lose sight that there are humans (Doug Jones) beneath those makeups. A faun so convincing that in a short period of time we see only the animal. And a corpse so starved that the flacid flesh hangs from its bones, only in Pan's Labyrinth. The incomparable actor Doug Jones plays both the Faun and the Pale Man.
