About Me

This rather generic and infrequently updated Web page comes to you courtesy of iWeb. But hey, at least it’s pretty.

I currently live in Queens with my wife Leontine and daughter Nina-Rose. Leontine and I met online, which became a story in the New York Times.

Yes, I was on a game show when I was eight.

I’m a writer with 15 years’ experience in everything from daily newspapers to network news. My specialties are technology and the travel industry.

I’m currently Lead Analyst for Mobile Devices at PC Magazine. I’m also a columnist for PC Magazine, and one of the hosts of PC Mag Radio, where I tend to rant quite a lot.

I write columns every few weeks for the Frommers.com online travel newsletters.

In 2007, I won a bronze award from the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation for my “service-oriented consumer article” for Frommers.com on international cell phone use. The award was a welcome surprise!
