I am an Auckland-trained general surgeon with a special interest in surgical oncology
(the surgical treatment
of cancers)
about me
my background
After finishing medical school I worked in Auckland and Tauranga before undertaking a Doctorate in aspects of metabolism and critical care. I completed surgical training before working in the UK for three years, where I was privileged to work at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London as both a Fellow and a Consultant.
As well as my private practice, I work at Middlemore Hospital and have an active role with the University of Auckland. I am also on the Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons’ ASSET course, which trains junior surgeons in core skills.
