The Villa Montezuma has always been an admired masterpiece in one of San Diego’s oldest neighborhoods.  People are drawn to this landmark and have enjoyed many events in her halls.  Weddings, music recitals and the annual Valentine Teas have been favorite events.

This 1964 photo was a part of the Historic American Building Survey (HABS) completed by architectural students and photographed by H.G. Hanekamp.  The music room looks even better in person!  For more HABS information visit the Library of Congress online at www.loc.gov.

Do you have a favorite memory or photos to share with the Friends of the Villa Montezuma?  We would love to scan or copy any records or photos that you may have.  We will also do oral history interviews if you have the time.  The Villa Montezuma is very dear to all of us and we sincerely appreciate being able to share this wonderful and magnificent place.
