Dear family and friends,
I pray that everyone is doing well. Well, times flies doesn’t it? September 12th marked our one-year anniversary (Christina and mine). I cannot believe that a year has already gone by! It’s really been amazing to see God’s hand in everything: my personal life, the ministry, and how He’s moving in Iglesia Gran Comisión.

Ministry Classes
Yet, another thing that is going on is that I’m taking two seminary online classes. One is titled: Genesis to Song of Solomon: Plan of Creation and Redemption. I have weekly assignments, exams, and papers to write. You have to love technology right? I can do all this online! I listen to the professor’s lectures on a CD! Well I absolutely love learning and studying the Bible, so this is a blessing. The second class is an internship to focus more on my personal ministry and character. So I’m working with Pastor Victor and his wife, Silvia, as my mentors in this process. The classes end at the beginning of December.
On a Personal Note
So, needless to say, the pace of things hasn’t slowed down as much as I thought it would. It’s an exciting time, especially for Jorge and I. So many things are changing and we are trusting God each step of the way. Jorge has always dreamed of working for the church full-time. Now, God has opened the door for him to follow his dream! Amen! Praise God! The pastors have wanted Jorge to work full-time for the church for years, but the problem was and continues to be that the local church does not have the finances to support him full-time (at this time). So Jorge has been approved with the mission organization, GCLA (Great Commission Latin America) to start raising support. Jorge asked me my thoughts and I told him it was not something I had to think about, because I knew automatically that God had been (and is) calling us both to full-time ministry. I believed it was just a matter of time of when Jorge would go full-time with the church. How exciting that it is happening now! We have prayed, sought counsel, examined budgets, and done all we can to seek the will of God and the practicalities of this decision, taking into account that we will be getting married next May. And we both believe that it is God's will and has been God's will for Jorge to work full-time for the church. We believe now is the kairos moment to do it. So we are truly stepping out in faith (2 Corin. 5:7). God is calling us to trust Him. We have decided together to do just that-trust Him in this whole process. So please pray for us.
Speaking of marriage-we set a date! We will be getting married at Bay Area Community Church in Annapolis, Maryland on May 16th, so mark your calendars because we hope to see you all there! We are trusting God for the whole process. Jorge and his family need visas to come to the U.S., so please put this in your prayers.
Thank you for your continued love, support, and prayers.
In Christ,
Sarah
P.S. I had to include this photo of Jorge and I because I think it’s funny. His birthday was on August 31 and we went to the grocery store this day to pick up a few things for a little birthday celebration. I insisted that he get a picture with the store’s mascot. And the bunny gave him a little prize for his birthday. Haha.
