My Staunton

I am coping this post from Janet who runs Sliceofpink.com. I thought that it was a good idea, and I have no clue what else to talk about today. Other then the fact that I can’t stand thinking about how fast my summer is going, it is just depressing! And! That I am getting ready to TOTALLY revamp this website, which will require it to move. I am in the research phase of domain name and hosting possibilities. Stay tuned for much more exciting stuff!
My post will be on Staunton, VA.

My Staunton: Sarah Tyndall
Age: 21
Occupation: Student
I've lived here for: Three Years
I live here because: I am a student at Mary Baldwin College
My neighborhood: King Dorms, Upper Campus
My favorite restaurant: Coffee on the Corner
If you go to this restaurant, be sure to order: Raspberry Chi Tea
My favorite museum: Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library
My favorite tourist destination: The American Shakespeare Center
Best insider spot: Gypsy Hill Park in the Fall
My favorite area: Downtown
Best place to go shopping: Design @ Nine, and Celebrate
When you visit, don’t forget to pack: Walking shoes and jackets
But leave room in your suitcase for:  Antiques & little things that you can’t live without!
The one local cuisine you should try when you’re in town is: anything from the farmers market
The best way to get around: walking, uphill and downhill both ways!
If I had to describe this city in one word, it would be: Historical, much has and will take place in Staunton!
I tell my friends to stay at: Stonewall Jackson Hotel, very classy!
The one thing most outsiders don’t know about this city is: Staunton has a warf district, but isn’t near any water!
They say “Virginia is for lovers.” So fill in the blank: “Staunton, as you like it!” (You have to go on the website or live there to get the phrase!)
