Kidzapalooza Pumps Up the Volume
The annual kidz rock festival, Kidzapalooza, is in full swing this August 1, 2 and 3 at Grant Park in Chicago. While Kidzapalooza used to be a side attraction to the world famous Lollapalooza concert series, this family-focused event has emerged into a music extravaganza of its own. This summer, the event features more than 13 musical guests with a few surprise performances that are guaranteed perks for the grownups (think big, big!).
Today’s podcast features Tor Hyams, co-creator of Kidzapalooza, which he founded with former Jane’s Addiction front man Perry Farrell. In the interview, Tor gives you a backstage tour of all the exciting entertainment and activities lined up, from getting temporary tatz or a punk rock hair do to jamming out rock band style and throwing down a hip hop rhyme. This three day weekend experience is a blast, and lets you explore music in totally interactive way.
For the first time ever, Kidzapalooza will expand to another city: Los Angeles. The event debuts at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, Sept. 28, so if you can’t make it to the Windy City, bring your family to the City of Angels for a rockin’ good time.
Check out the MommaJam podcast with Tor and book your flight to Chicago for Kidzapalooza, the hottest summer festival around. Go to Kidzapalooza.com for information on the musical acts and activities, to purchase tickets, and to get pumped up for the fun!
