Reclaim Beauty in Your Home
Reclaim Beauty in Your Home
Tired of kid clutter choking every room in the house and cramping your style? This week, MommaJam talks to Ames Ingham, a home decorator, store owner and fellow mom, to give you inspiring, new ways to infuse life and energy into your home.
Ames joins us from her hip furnishings store in West Hollywood (pictured above), the heart of LA’s cool home decor district. This home style maven loves mixing fresh white spaces with bold colors for contrast.
To help combat kids with messy fingers, Ames recommends using outdoor fabric for indoor spaces. Some of today’s great new patterns and textures help hide smudges, and the durable fabrics are easy to clean. Other ideas include using chalkboard paint, so kids have their own, distinct place to doodle on the walls. You can get chalkboard paint at hardware stores or even at Target. Crayola makes the paint in myriad colors, so you can go wild with fun for your kids.
Tune in and listen to MommaJam and Ames Ingham. Then tackle clutter and reclaim beauty in your home sweet home.
