Wesleyan & Confucianism

The first official event sponsored by the Wesleyan Beijing Club took place this past Tuesday evening, with main billing split between me (topic of my lecture: “Should Confucianism Matter to China’s Future?”) and the masked gentleman carving the duck. About thirty Wes grads -- many of them my former students -- as well as a few current students, one parent of a current student, and an intrepid high school graduate who’s been admitted to Wes for next year, filled a beautiful room at one of Beijing’s top duck restaurants. Kerry Holahan did a great job organizing the event, and we all hope there will be many more events in the future!
