The Santa Fe Chiles Jazz Band straggles into Evangelos Bar at the corner of Galisteo and San Francisco Streets, In Santa Fe New Mexico. Its a saloon band of cornet, trombone, clarinet, tenor sax, string bass, piano, banjo, and drums. The band plays in a shotgun-shaped room with a long bar, on one side advertising “Great Bar No xxxxxx Bud”..Its the last “ real” neighborhood bar left in downtown Santa fe, and you have to belly up to the bar to order a drink. Your congenial host is the proprietor, Nick Klonis, A lover of people and Dixieland Jazz
