The Picnic at the End of the Universe


Sunday April 6 - 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. - Phelps Grove Park


This is a FREE afternoon event for gadgeteers, gamers, geeks and fandom, open to fans of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Gaming, SCA, Linux gurus, Elmers, Makers, Mythbusters and merry pranksters of all sorts...


Lemonade, dogs and burgers will be provided by our hosts, Meta-Games Unlimited. Bring your favorite side, drink or dessert to share. This event is a Picnic and Potluck. The venue seats approximately 144 people and the park can hold many more.


Alcohol is forbidden by the Parks Department so leave that at home.


Join the Gauntlet Challenge from 1984, Discover the cleaving power of foam with AmtGard, learn about low-budget film making and discover the history of Horror Hosts, learn the secrets of writing Science Fiction, spin some poi, stalk Dracula through Europe, command a six-ton construct of iron and steel in War Machine, and play a variety of fun hobby games from Meta-Games.

Reduce the clutter in your life. Not watching those VHS tapes? Got extra D&D minis gathering dust? Closet full of great books gathering dust? Place them on the free table and let them find a new home.
